About our Directors
Our directors are from 2 different fields of expertise which have come together to create a enjoyable learning and travel experience while studying abroad.
Jacqueline Muñiz is a Costa Rican and has been teaching Spanish as a second language for over 16 years. She was the director of the Spanish Program at a large private Spanish School for over 10 years, during this time she also worked with several colleges and universities in the United States by assisting them with there study abroad program. She would prepare programs for their students to come to Costa Rica and study Spanish abroad. She has also taught Spanish classes in local universities in San José, Costa Rica. She has assisted with the start up of a highly successful Spanish School by assisting with creating their Spanish Program and training their teachers.
Bruce Cardner is from the United States and served in the United States Navy for over 16 years and has been working in the travel industry for over 14 years. He was a Costa Rica Specialist with GoGo Worldwide Vacations in Orlando, Florida. He assisted travel agents by putting together customized vacation packages to Costa Rica for their clients. He has the knowledge to assist the students with tours and excursions to enhance their visit to Costa Rica.

Phrase of the Day
The Spanish language classes at Central Valley Spanish School and online Spanish classes are designed to help the students
learn and provide the maximum flexibility for students at all levels. We offer a standard Spanish Language Program package:
4 hours of daily instruction (20 lessons per week). Individual or small group Spanish language classes and day excursions to local
areas of interest and natural beauty are all included in our package. We hope you can come and learn Spanish in Costa Rica at Central Valley Spanish School and enjoy all that Costa Rica has to offer while studying abroad.
Our methodology is based on total
immersion in the Spanish language, which helps the student learn Spanish naturally. We emphasize personalized attention for each student.
We can also offer courses for special interests and requirements. We can also offer classes on the beach, either separately from San
José or in combination (one week at each location or a similar arrangement). Our study abroad program offers maximum flexibilty.
Accomadations
are a homestay with a local Costa Rican family whom go through extensive screening and are accustomed to having Spanish students.
At the homestay you continue to learn and pratice the Spanish you have learned. The homestay reinforces the total immersion and
your Spanish classes continue at your homestay.
